Friday October 2nd: Brindisi Airport/Marina di San Gregorio
Arrival at Brindisi Airport in the morning and private bus transfer to the 4 star hotel in Marina di San Gregorio, a nice village by the sea, overlooking the Ionian Sea. Check in at the hotel and free time. At dinner time, all together, will enjoy the welcome dinner in a selected restaurant.
Saturday October 3rd: Marina di San Gregorio/Gallipoli/Marina di San Gregorio
After breakfast, we will go to Miggiano to visit a local olive oil producer, including a stroll through their historic olive groves… will be amazing walking around trees of more than 700 years old! After visiting the company and their mill, we will have a tasting lunch with the producer. From there, we will come back to the hotel. In the afternoon we will reach Gallipoli, free time, for walking and shopping, before meeting all together for dinner in a selected restaurant.
Sunday October 4th: Marina di San Gregorio
Today you cook! After breakfast, we will visit an Agriturismo, where local people grow all kinds of vegetables and we will walk around the beautiful property. Over lunch time, we will have lunch with this genuine food. After lunch, we will move to an ancient building, for our cooking class, discovering the ancient recipes of the region. Local people will work with your group and you will be responsible for preparing a traditional Puglia meal. You will start in the morning learning about ingredients. In the afternoon they will assist you in the preparation of the dishes. At dinner time, we will enjoy the cooking class dinner.
Monday October 5th: Marina di San Gregorio/Tricase/Marina di San Gregorio
After breakfast, will visit a local winery in Tricase, discovering local wine varieties. Over lunch time, you will enjoy a professional tasting wine and tasting lunch with the producer, paring their wines with local food. In the afternoon you will have free time to relax and dinner on your own in the village.
Tuesday October 6th: Marina di San Gregorio/Lecce
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move to Lecce, a beautiful city called “the Florence of the South”. After the check in at the 4 stars hotel, located downtown in Lecce, surrounded by restaurants, shops and bars, you will have free time in the afternoon, for walking, shopping and enjoying the city and dinner on your own.
Wednesday October 7th: Lecce
After breakfast, you will enjoy the guided tour of Lecce with our English speaking tour guide, including the visit at lime stone and cartapesta masters. After the walking tour, you will have lunch on your own, free afternoon and free night in Lecce, discovering the city and the food of Lecce on your own.
Thursday October 8th: Lecce/Otranto/Lecce
After breakfast, transfer to Otranto to enjoy the guided tour of the city, the most eastern city of Italy, free time and lunch on your own in Otranto. From there, we will come back to the hotel, free afternoon for walking or shopping in Lecce or relaxing at the hotel. Dinner all together in a selected restaurant in the city.
Friday October 9th: Lecce/Ostuni/Polignano A Mare
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move to Polignano A Mare, with a stop in Ostuni, to enjoy the “white city” and lunch on your own. Check in at 5 stars hotel, located in the countryside, with outdoor and indoor pool, beautiful spa and gourmet restaurant. After the check in, you will have free time, for discovering Polignano A Mare, an amazing village overhanging the sea, or relaxing at the hotel, and dinner on your own.
Saturday October 10th: Polignano/Altamura/Matera/Polignano
This morning, after breakfast, we will reach Altamura, a nice village well known for its delicious bread. We will visit a local bakery, learning about the typical bread of Altamura and typical tarallini pugliesi. After the visit, we will move to Matera, in Basilicata region, a fascinating city, called the “Stones City” that belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch all together in a selected restaurant in Matera. After lunch, guided tour of the city, discovering the stones area with our English speaking tour guide. Following the guided tour, we will come back to the hotel, where you can enjoy your free evening.
Sunday October 11th: Polignano A Mare/Alberobello/Polignano A Mare
After breakfast, you will enjoy your free morning in Alberobello, discovering the beautiful and typical “trulli” of Alberobello. A nice walking around the typical houses and lunch on your own in the village. After lunch, we will come back to the hotel, free afternoon until evening for our group dinner in a selected restaurant in Polignano A Mare.
Monday October 12th: Polignano A Mare/Brindisi Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Brindisi Airport.
